Unbelievably true, InsaneGB.com is hosting websites for Free. They just launched a couple of weeks ago and is a total ad-free host. A statement from them: “We are a Free Web Host without forced ads! That means that we will not force any ads directly onto your website like most other free hosting companies. Instead we do offer advertisements placed directly onto our main website, forums and main cPanel pages.”
Appearing to offer the impossible, InsaneGB is offering 100% completely free web hosting with 5 GB of storage space and 200 GB monthly bandwidth. What makes this really amazing is that you can host your domain with them (or use a subdomain from them if you wish), are given your own full CPanel, and there will never be a single ad on your website.
So go ahead and give them a go: InsaneGB.com and it won’t cost you nothing…

This is insane! (a bit corny, I know)
Anyway, I see the guys opened now in December, so quite new.
I like their reasons for opening this business. They say it is to help
people who need hosting.
So if you don’t have a homepage, these guys are here to help the homeless.
He He.
Registration was also quick and painless. I just registered my site now, so
I should be able to calculate speed and so on in about 24 hours.

I also registered but had to change one of my domain’s DNS. So will also have a better look in about 12 hours.
Like, omg.
Free hosts don’t normally get me this excited. But damn. It took all of like three minutes to create a hosting account with them. And I took a look at what they offer.
It’s just as good as paid hosting so far. But even better – unlimited addon and subdomains – hell, unlimited anything – and with more bandwidth and space than the average South African user can afford to pay for.
For free.
I suppose time will tell if their quality and support services are up to scratch. Anyone can claim 99,9% uptime, but if that uptime proves itself, it’s very worth it.
I’m probably going to be moving all my International and other free sites to this service. The only thing that will keep me from moving my paid sites over is their TOS agreement. Which basically says “if there’s a stuff-up of any kind – whether on your side or ours – you can’t hold us liable”.
Whereas paid hosts normally make an effort to keep your data safe, backed up and recoverable. But for free sites? Bring it on
Thanks for posting this link! I would never have found out about them otherwise…

I am glad it’s working for you. Just move over a couple of sites before going crazy. I moved one over to test it, speed was good, control panel was awesome. But my database went down with THEIR website the 2 days after that.
They are fairly new, so maybe it was just a minor problem they had as a new startup. Just wanted you guys to know.

insaneGB was good, and then it committed suicide. Full story here: Read it!
Basically – it’s about as stable as an Iranian dictator on a bad day.

Well currently they say they are forced to put ads … temporarily but even temporarily I wouldn’t accept that as for me.
